Short circuit testing

In this post I explain the schematic overview of the PSU and do a test to show what happens if the output lines are shorted. In such case the power is temporarily cut and the PSU can be back into operation right after. The 12V to 5V short is more than a short circuit test, since it triggers the overvoltage protection.
PSU schematic overview:
Short circuit tests: 5V to 0, 12V to 0, 12V to 5V.
